Acreditation of Teacher Education Institutions

As provided by the Education Act, the Council is mandated to register and accredit teacher training institutions and their programmes, the Council shall:

1. Set minimum standards for accreditation of institutions and programmes.
2. Develop accreditation framework  for Education programmes.
3. Develop tools for registration and accreditation of institutions and programmes.
4. Conduct education programmes and institutional assessment for accreditation.
5. Support institutions in accreditation processes.
6. Register and deregister education programmes
