Education and Training Division

Welcome to the Education and Training Division of the Teachers Council of Malawi. Our division is responsible for setting and monitoring education and training standards for teachers and teaching professionals in the country. We strive to ensure that all teacher training institutions and programs meet the required standards for quality education.

Our responsibilities include:
1. Developing and reviewing initial teacher education standards
2.  Monitoring compliance with continuing professional development requirements
3.  Evaluating teacher training programs for effectiveness and quality
4.  Providing support and resources for professional development
